ABOUT

Bonnie and The Bonnettes was founded in 2016 and we are a theatre company and drag trio based in the North East. Our work is sometimes about us, sometimes about other people, but mostly about the world we live in.

We like it when audiences laugh. We like it when they think. We really like it when they do both at the same time.

Our work is loud, fun, and unapologetic.

"The trio present a colourful united front against the world"

WHO WE ARE

Hattie is a theatre maker, vocalist, and facilitator. She holds a first class honours in BA Performance and an MA in Theatre and Performance (Northumbria University). The point of her work is ultimately to look at the relationships and interactions between people.

Previous credits include; Bonnie and Fanny’s Christmas Spectacular (Lorraine/ Live Theatre), supporting Pixie Lott at the Sunderland Christmas Lights 2018 (Vocalist), Hartlepool Fireworks 2018 (Vocalist) and is a regular performer at the Musical Theatre Cabaret at Prohibition Bar and Northern Stage (Newcastle). Hattie also facilitates in schools for One Day Creative Education, and previously taught children and young people ages 4-18 at Razzamataz Theatre Schools (Newcastle), and was also a lead facilitator for Alphabetti Theatre’s Write Something Junior 2019.

Her work aims to be thought provoking as well as humorous. Good old fashioned ‘entertainment factor’ is something she wishes to bring to all her work! Hattie loves potatoes, has a difficult relationship with gluten and dairy, and once had a cow called Burger.
