CAMERON SHARP

Cameron is co-founder and producer of Bonnie and The Bonnettes. He is a D/deaf, queer theatre maker/producer/dramaturg based in Newcastle but originally from Doncaster. He is an associate artist at Live Theatre, supported by the Graeae Beyond Scheme, and Drunken Chorus's Glimmer Programme, and also part of the 2020/21 Paines Plough Re:Assemble cohort. He holds a first class honours in BA Performance and an MA in Theatre and Performance (Northumbria University). His work is largely influenced by storytelling, gender, sexuality, and all things that sparkle (Like a MAGPIE!). Cameron has worked as a drag performer over the last 5 years under the persona of Bonnie Love meaning is work is largely rooted in cabaret/queer performance. 

 

Previous work includes; Love Dances (Adam Russell Dance), Isolation (Customs House/Alphabetti Theatre), Mixtape Xmas (The Six Twenty/ Live Theatre), Mixtape TimeHop (The Six Twenty/Live Theatre) 10 Mins To... (Live Theatre) and was awarded Live Theatre's Bursary 2018 to make a piece, with Jake Jarratt, entitled 'W*nk Buddies' which debuted at Elevator Festival 2019 and toured nationally in Spring 2020 to Live Theatre, Soho Theatre, and Traverse Theatre.
