Mama Rhi (Rhianne Bowes) is a theatre maker and cabaret artist based in the North East, graduating from Northumbria Univeristy
She makes work that is predominantly feminist lipsync and burlesque performance that delves into themes surrounding body positivity, female sexuality, and celebrations of love. It is rebellious and mischievous with a wicked sense of humour. Previous work includes: Club Bonenkai (The Letter Room), Lipsync Cabaret (GIFT), and Not My President Day No (Br)Exit Cabaret (Lazlo Pearlman).
She has also organised and compered her own cabaret evening, MAMA RHI AND HER BREAST FRIENDS, which featured at The Bridge Hotel in aid of Rape Crisis. Her solo show, MAMA RHI'S LADY GARDEN, debuted to sell out audiences at Northern Stage (2019) and due to return soon!
She is a regular performer at The BonBons Cabaret and is part of North East based queer collective THE HOUSE OF LOVE.
