MXYM (Max Easter) is a queer singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist based in the North East.
He has self produced and released an exciting array of singles and EP's, gaining radio play on station such as Spark Sunderland and BBC Radio Newcastle. The release of his EP "Peaches" in 2018 was accompanied by a sold out release party featuring other local queer performers. The event was awarded funding by O2's Go Thing Big for "Breaking Boundaries". In 2018 MXYM played the lead role of Andy Quinn in the short film "Rebel Rebel" as well as providing original compositions for the films soundtrack - the film went on to win two Royal Television Society awards.
MXYM also works as a freelance composer and sound designer for theatre, previous credit includes: W*NK BUDDIES (Live Theatre, Dir. Melanine Rashbrooke), AND SHE (Bonnie and The Bonnettes). and up and coming I DIED IN A MOSH PIT (Bonnie and The Bonnettes and The Six Twenty).
MXYM is a regular performer at The BonBons Cabaret as a member of North East based queer collective THE HOUSE OF LOVE.
